Environmental survey
ALGADE proposes services for the caracterization of radioactivity in the environment around industrial sites and nuclear power plants in order to provide radiological assessment. ALGADE assists operators responsible for Uranium mining sites all around the world to define monitoring networks to caracterize atmosphere, soils, waters and food chains. All this analysis remain essential to improve radiological impact of industrial sites on the surrounding environment.
Polluted Soils and Sites
With its long experience in the field of radiation protection, linked to Uranium mines, ALGADE proposes a wide range of analysis in order to manage radioactive polluted sites up to their remediation and waste management.
Trigger of radioactivity detection system
ALGADE assists industrials when radioactivity detection systems detect the presence of radionuclides in materials (waste landfill sites, incineration processing centers, scrap metal dealers, foundries and steel companies). ALGADE applies the requirements established by IRSN in a specific guide « Guide sur la méthodologie à suivre en cas de déclenchement d’un portique de détection de la radioactivité ».
Radioactive liquid waste controls
ALGADE developed equipment to monitor automatically radioactivty in liquid wastes of care facilities (nuclear medicine). These controls are proposed in the field of waste management plans and to verify the compliance with regulatory reference levels.
Specific Analysis for NORM industries
The new French regulation requests radioactivity analysis in building materials and NORM materials. ALGADE proposes a wide range of analysis to manage this issue.
Radiological workplace monitoring
ALGADE is the only accredited laboratory that proposes services for the caracterization of radioactivity in workplaces concerned by natural radioactivity issues :
- Potential alpha energy Activity concentration of short lived Radon decay products,
- Activity concentration of long lived alpha emitters (Uranium-238 and Thorium 232)
- Gamma dose rate.
Dosimetric worker monitoring
ALGADE is the only accredited laboratory that proposes services for the measurement of exposure for workers exposed to natural radioactivity :

ALGADE proposes, under ASN agreement, radiation protection controls to answer the requirements of Public Health Code
Periodic radiation protection controls under the supervision of Radiation Protection Officer
ALGADE proposes, under the supervision of Radiation Protection Officer, a wide range of periodic controls of equipments, radioactive sources and workplaces in all types of installations. ALGADE proposes measuring protocols to verify the absence of air contamination, adapted to the real need of medical facilites.
